Graffito di Luce
Milano Design Week 2025 - 5 Vie
Chiostro e Sacrestia del Bramante in Santa Maria delle Grazie
6 - 13 Aprile 2025
Via Caradosso 1 - Milano
In the Graffito of Light installation in the small cloister and Sacristy of Santa Maria delle Grazie built between 1492 and 1497, the architect Luca Trazzi, in collaboration with FAN Europe Lighting, has recomposed the salient elements attributed to Bramante, identifying a decorative graffito in the plaster of the cloister representing flowers as the inspirational element for his light installation.
The lamps have a gold-coloured metal sunburst structure.Flower-shaped light elements create a theatre of light and shadow in the garden between the columns and the foliage.Inside the Sacristy we find a rectilinear path marked by two opposing and parallel rows of floral-shaped floorlamps. The lamps inside the garden and Sacristy are eight, with thirty-two rays; the use of the number eight and its multiples reveals the homage to Bramante who adopted the same number in the tribune together with twelve apostles and four evangelists. The choice of eight is associated with the eighth day dedicated to the Resurrection and the New Man.

Porsche 911
After building 2,500 examples, Porsche has celebrated the end of the 911 Dakar model with the handover of a Sonderwunsch special at the Porsche plant in Zuffenhausen. Extensively customised and refined, this Sonderwunsch 911 Dakar was designed by Luca Trazzi.
The car features a customised three-tone paintwork. Signal yellow and Gentian blue metallic tie neatly into the Rallye Design Package, while a painted blue line between the two larger coloured areas completes the trio. The shade, which has been named Lampedusa blue, after the Italian Mediterranean island, very close to Luca’s life.

Luca Trazzi

Luca Trazzi, architect and industrial designer, was born in Verona in 1962. Awarded the Carlo Scarpa prize at a young age, he worked for fifteen years alongside Aldo Rossi, with whom he was a close collaborator and assistant.
Today, he divides his time between Milan and China. He is also one of the founders of designboom.com and designs for the most prestigious international brands.
Luca Trazzi loves to draw objects that do not follow trends: objects to touch, caress, and accompany us throughout the day and in our daily gestures. He creates objects that are easy to use, understand, and are beautiful to look at, with simple, captivating shapes and lines that never go out of fashion. Attention to detail is the hallmark of Luca Trazzi's work.
In the field of design, he has created for brands such as Aperol, Alfi, Audi, Chicco, Fiorucci, Fiat, Guzzini, Illy, Italesse, Kreon, La Marzocco, Porsche, Plank, Martini, Swatch, SchönhuberFranchi, Viceversa, WMF, Barilla, Foppapedretti, Mr & Mrs Fragrance, Pantone, Serax, Veuve Clicquot, Campari, Kasanova, and Cimbali.
The products of these companies are distributed worldwide.
In parallel with design, he interprets places artistically through installations that represent the 'staging', almost like an open-air theatre, of his visions and thoughts.
