Superleggera
Museo del Risorgimento Milano
The silhouette of the Superleggera logo expresses a timeless design and in Luca Trazzi’s installation it is transfigured and projected into the pop world through a representation of colored lights.
The Project
The neon tubes are enclosed in architectural elements covered in mirrored steel that reflect and amplify the Superleggera logo inside and the textures of the portico and Palazzo Moriggia outside, the location chosen as the setting for the installation during the Salone del Mobile in Milan.
The luminous elements, with their bright colors and chromatic vibrations, build and emphasize the lines of the aluminum bodies of the Superleggera cars.
The installation with its elements is a carefree tribute to an icon of automotive design of the past, present and future.
The project develops with a central structure in the courtyard that welcomes the visitor and that refers to luminous suspended elements above the portico. In the second covered courtyard, the contrast of two luminous structures generates a rhythm of empty and full spaces, of lights and shadows that create a plot that envelops and involves the spectator.
